The papers of Vivian W. Johnson primarily relate to his banking career. Correspondence, speeches, clippings, and subject files make up the bulk of the collection. He made speeches before various groups and organizations ranging from the New York State Bankers Association to the Cedar Falls Rotary. The subject files contain several folders concerning the American Bankers Assoication that include materials such as research council reports and meeting notes. The banking courses that Johnson taught at the University of Wisconsin are well documented with nearly two boxes of material dating from 1947 through 1955.
